The Arrival (2016)

• The Arrival is a short film which shows Anna's thought process as she makes the decision whether or not to have a baby.

•  Mis-en-scene very important, Anna's internal monologue seems to interact with the things and people around her

• Diagetic sound also acts as a catalyst for her thoughts

• Play-like aesthetic. The café seems like a stage, with Anna in the spotlight.

• Camera dollys forward to a close up, throughout the film, showing how tension builds as Anna has a decision to make.
